You Can Have It All: Freedom, Purpose, and Financial Security

Veterinarians, you can have it all!

The freedom of having your own business, a purpose of helping others, and financial security can coexist.

Jim Rohn has a great quote: “The desire for freedom is one of the deepest yearnings we have.”

So how do you achieve this type of life?

How can you create the life of your dreams as a veterinarian?

For now, you may be at a point of fearing that your business won’t make it, worried about having to start over, and even end up alone and feeling like a failure.

You may want to have a thriving veterinary business, a predictable stream of income, and more free time to spend with your family and friends.

You may feel the need to live on purpose finally.

We want to do that, but we are unsure where to begin.

I think that the problem for me and the issue for many of us is taking an opportunity for granted, and I’ll tell you why I say that.

You can do it, but will you?

In my first year of medical school, the courses were in German. I didn’t understand a word.

In the evening, I opened the day’s class and would underline the words that I didn’t understand.

I found myself underlining every 3-5 words of each page, and despite that, I did that all night; I could only translate about four pages. The problem was that every day we would go over 50 during the lectures.

I would plow through the night feeling desperate, sometimes with tears in my eyes, but I wouldn’t let go.

On the train leading to the University, some students who were fluent in German would make fun of me because I was studying during the ride instead of talking and having fun with them.

At the end of the year, I passed my exam, and the ones making fun of me didn’t.

It wasn’t that I was brighter than them. It was that I was committed, and they were only interested.

To b committed means promising yourself never to stop until you reach your goal, no matter what obstacles arise.

It taught me a lesson.

I wasn’t interested in catching up; I was committed to catching up.

Find out how to be in control of time and money…and have a life

How many of us know the difference between interested and committed?

That’s kind of how I look at our mission at TheSwissVet.

I look at it as if we’re not interested in helping.

We’re not interested in giving veterinarians opportunities that they typically wouldn’t have.

We’re not interested in helping veterinarians that experience the entrepreneurial roller coaster with inconsistent income and cash flow.

We’re not interested in helping fellow veterinarians that are wearing too many hats get out of overwhelmed and balance family and work.

We’re committed to helping.

We’re committed to providing access to opportunity because if we can open your eyes and get you to shift your thoughts and habits and how you go about living your life from interested to committed, there’s no limit to what you can do.

We cannot be interested in achieving success–we have to be committed.

I invite you to join me for my free workshop, where we will dive deeper into how to be successful by being committed and having the right tools.

Together, let’s explore what it takes to create a life you’re excited about!
